Applying for grants and fellowships is a necessary skill for sustaining and supporting an academic career. The ACAH webinar “Applying for Grants and Fellowships” provides a forum for participants to hear from and ask questions of faculty panelists in Chinese art history and dance and performance studies, whose projects have successfully received support from a broad range of grants and fellowships. Sonya Lee is Professor of Art History, East Asian Languages and Cultures and Religion at the University of Southern California. Emily Wilcox is Margaret Hamilton Professor of Modern Languages & Literatures/Chinese Studies at the College of William & Mary. Stephen Whiteman is Reader in the Art and Architecture of China at The Courtauld Institute of Art.
Moderated by ACAH board member Michelle C. Wang, the event will be 90 minutes in length. In the first half of the program, each panelist will discuss their experiences with applying to grants and fellowships, from the perspective of their research areas and projects. This will be followed by Q & A with the audience. The webinar is aimed at scholars at all stages of their academic careers.
