How to Apply for Image Permissions
Co-sponsored by the Association for Chinese Art History (ACAH), the Japan Art History Forum (JAHF), and the American Council for Southern Asian Art (ACSAA), this webinar addresses how to navigate the process of obtaining images for research and applying for image permissions, key elements of successfully pursuing image-based research and publications. Three panelists whose research spans the art of China, Japan, and South Asia – Ying-chen Peng (American University), Halle O’Neal (University of Edinburgh), and Anna Lise Seastrand (University of Minnesota) – will share their experiences and insights. The 90 minute webinar will begin with remarks from the panelists, followed by Q & A moderated by ACAH board member Michelle C. Wang (Georgetown University).

Three curators representing a municipal, university, and national museum — Jacqueline Chao (Dallas Museum of Art), Zoe S. Kwok (Princeton University Art Museum), and Jan Stuart (National Museum of Asian Art) — will share their experiences and insights. The 90 minute webinar will begin with remarks from the panelists, followed by Q & A moderated by ACAH board member Dora Ching (Tang Center for East Asian Art, Princeton University).
