Citation practice is an important element of acknowledging the scholarly contributions of others. When we cite the work of others, we foster scholarly dialogue through the written word. For this reason, thoughtful citation practice can play a generative role in creating equitable and durable scholarly communities. This webinar will provide a forum for participants to hear from the expertise of three panelists and to ask questions and discuss best practices regarding how to cite the work of others in order to create better scholarly communities.

Moderated by ACAH President Michelle C. Wang, the event will be 90 minutes in length. In the first half of the program, the panelists will engage in a roundtable discussion regarding approaches to citation practice, why citation practice matters, and the impact of digital tools. This will be followed by Q & A with the audience in the second half of the program. We warmly invite the participation of scholars at all career stages in the arts, humanities, and social sciences to discuss this important aspect of scholarly engagement and community building.

Please register for the Zoom link, which will be emailed to all registered participants before the event (please note, the event will not be recorded).
